The Edward Leger '34 Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded annually by the Leger family in the amount of $1000 to an 8th grade student who is planning on attending
St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School and is a resident of West Fitchburg. The scholarship honors St. Bernard’s Class of 1934 graduate Edward Leger. Edward was an outstanding member of the class of 1934 and is one of 8 Bernardians to be inducted into the school’s first Hall of Fame class in 1983.

The candidates should possess a fondness for art and music as well as a love for sports, the outdoors and a inherent capacity and desire to give back to the community. All these qualities were representative of Edward.

Scholarship winners will be decided by May 1st of the students 8th grade year.
Students must matriculate to St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School in the fall following graduation from 8th grade. The award will be received in the form of a credit on the student’s tuition bill.
